Parley is the practice to hold a conference with an opposing side to discuss terms.
Orcish parley[]
The orc practice of parley involves stating the name of ones parents and their respective clan they come from. Afterwords they engage in their conference over the issues they wan to discus. Parley is ended with those who initiated it taking out a sharp knife and handing it over to other side of the parley, indicating that the person who initiated parley had the ability to kill their opposing side but didn't, and would leave.
